The Challenge
Communities Should Not Be Spectators in the AI Revolution
Artificial intelligence is rapidly changing how people work, learn, and access economic opportunities. Yet many communities risk being left behind because they lack the practical knowledge and skills needed to understand and use these tools.
AI Mtaani addresses this gap by making AI accessible, practical, and relevant to everyday life so communities can participate in the opportunities AI is creating rather than simply watching from the sidelines.
What Changed
AI Became Practical, Not Abstract
Participants moved beyond learning what AI is to exploring how they can actually use it.
The first edition introduced foundational concepts, responsible AI use, and hands-on demonstrations. The Biashara edition went further, helping small business owners apply AI to practical tasks such as creating business logos and managing their accounts.
The programme is creating a foundation for communities to experiment with, adopt, and benefit from AI in their everyday work and livelihoods.
