Afya for Jamii
Afya for Jamii
At Afya for Jamii, we are dedicated to supporting families facing challenges of early childhood malnutrition due to the inability of the mother to breastfeed, whether due to mortality or severe illness. Our mission extends to improving the health, socio-economic conditions, and spiritual well-being of communities impacted by HIV/AIDS, aiming to reduce maternal morbidity and mortality rates. We provide essential support by distributing formula and foodstuffs to infants from birth to one year old and Bibles to Christian families for spiritual growth. Additionally, our Moringa Project educates families on the benefits of the Moringa tree, guiding them in planting, producing Moringa powder, and promoting the sale of Moringa products to generate income. We also offer adherence counseling, referrals for mental health wellness, nutritional assessments, and conduct outreach programs to raise awareness about maternal danger signs, all in an effort to create a healthier, more informed, and resilient society.
