The Rotaract Club of Malindi empowers communities through service, focusing on environmental restoration, health awareness, and youth mentorship. We plant mangroves, offer free cancer screenings, and mentor young people. In 10 years, we’ve planted thousands of trees, screened 300+ for cancer, and mentored 40+ children.

This youth-led CBO based in Malindi uses Participatory Educational Theatre (PET), Theatre of the Oppressed (TO), and Magnet Theatre (MT) as tools for community engagement on behavior change. Through “Artivism,” the organization combines dialogue and art to empower the community, encouraging active participation in addressing social issues.

Malindi United Artists (UMA)

UMA works to create public awareness on human rights and provide free legal aid on security issues. The organization promotes volunteerism to build sustainable communities, focusing on youth and women’s roles in peacebuilding, governance, and adolescent sexual and reproductive health.
