What
We Do
Founded and registered in 2017, Malindi United Artists (UMA) is a dynamic organization committed to fostering community development through volunteerism, education, and advocacy. UMA focuses on creating public awareness around human rights and offering free legal aid to address security issues. With a strong belief in the power of volunteerism, UMA delivers its initiatives with the spirit of building sustainable, thriving communities through intercultural exchange and active participation.
UMA’s mission is to amplify the role of youth and women in peacebuilding, governance, and the promotion of adolescent sexual and reproductive health. By empowering these groups, UMA aims to prevent health and social challenges, while also responding effectively to those that arise. The organization actively engages in educating the community on HIV/AIDS awareness and management, alongside providing capacity-building sessions tailored for youth, women, and local schools.
Additionally, UMA advocates for peace awareness and community entrepreneurship, promoting a culture of self-reliance and unity. Through these efforts, UMA works toward creating a more informed, empowered, and peaceful society in Malindi County and beyond.
