Initiative

Community Health Outreach

Community Health Outreach” provides free medical services, health education, and workshops to underserved communities, improving health outcomes, promoting prevention, and empowering families.

Challenges

  • Societal stigma and discrimination discourage individuals from seeking help.
  • Limited funding for operations, programs, and hiring qualified staff.
  • Difficulty in finding and retaining skilled personnel such as counselors and addiction specialists.
  • High relapse rates among clients, requiring additional resources and long-term support.
  • Community resistance due to misconceptions about drug users and mental health issues.
  • Insufficient access to medical supplies, medications, and rehabilitation facilities.
  • Cultural beliefs and traditional norms conflicting with modern treatment approaches.

Achievements

  • Successfully rehabilitated and reintegrated  15 individuals affected by drug use into society.
  • Provided consistent psychosocial support to more than 500 individuals struggling with mental health challenges, helping them achieve stability and resilience.
  • Increased awareness and reduced stigma surrounding drug addiction and mental health issues, reaching over 10,000 community members through outreach programs and advocacy.
  • Established partnerships with 15 local health facilities and government agencies to enhance service delivery and resource sharing.
  • Trained and empowered 30 community members as peer counselors and support advocates to extend the impact of the organization’s work.
  • Organized 20 workshops and seminars attended by over 2,000 participants to educate the community on prevention, treatment, and mental health awareness.
  • Created a safe and supportive environment for individuals to share their experiences, with 85% of participants reporting significant improvement in their well-being.
  • Contributed to policy advocacy efforts that influenced three local policies supporting individuals affected by drug use and mental health challenges.
