About us

Founded in August 2023, EquiWave Initiative is a community-based organization committed to empowering the people of Kilifi County. We tackle challenges in governance, democracy, and peace and security through community-led initiatives and strategic collaborations with like-minded partners. Kilifi faces systemic issues such as limited citizen participation, lack of transparency, and rising security concerns. At EquiWave, we believe that real change happens when communities are engaged, empowered, and actively involved in shaping their future. Our work is guided by transparency, inclusivity, and community ownership—ensuring residents take the lead in creating sustainable solutions while we maximize impact through collaboration. Together, we are building a Kilifi County where governance works for its people, peace is prioritized, and progress is driven by those who live it. Community Health Outreach

Community Health Outreach” provides free medical services, health education, and workshops to underserved communities, improving health outcomes, promoting prevention, and empowering families.

  • Facilitated 15 dialogue forums and awareness campaigns to promote peaceful coexistence and conflict mitigation.
  • Reached over 2,000 citizens through transparency and governance programs, improving accountability and civic participation.
  • Engaged 800 youth in leadership and decision-making processes, promoting inclusivity and skills development.
  • Successfully implemented 6 community-led projects co-designed with residents, addressing local needs effectively.
